At Holy Word Christian Academy, our most important work is sharing the good news of the Gospel with your child. Through weekly chapel, daily Bible lessons & songs, and a Christian environment, we are here to help you in the Biblical instruction of & teaching of Christian values to your little one.

Geared toward working parents of little ones between the ages of 8 weeks and 1 year old, our infant and young toddler classrooms at Holy Word Christian Academy run Monday through Friday, 7am-6pm.

HWCA generally follows Austin ISD’s lead on any weather-related delays or closures; however, we do operate a year-round program without a spring break or extended summer break.

Play is an essential part of young children’s learning and development; therefore HWCA’s daily rhythms are built around play-based, active learning. By using the Key Developmental Indicators of the High Scope curriculum, teachers create learning experiences that support exploration and encourage creative imagination. Through this kind of active learning, even the littlest children obtain cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills that lay a firm foundation for all the years beyond early childhood.

Teachers at Holy Word Christian Academy have a love for caregiving, encouragement, and guiding. With a broad range of experience from their own personal and professional lives, the infant & young toddlers teaching team at HWCA is full of warm, wise, and welcoming educators eager to partner with parents in the raising of these precious children.

All staff are CPR & First Aid certified and complete 24 hours of professional development every year.
